Librarians Will Have Cyber Eyes Before I Do | #BreathOfTheMachineGod

Kindles, e-books and CBR files may be the way of reading in the future, but nothing beats spending time and getting lost in San Leandro Library. That said, the librarians there may soon have an Android app that can quickly and easily help them identify an out of place book among the thousands on shelves.

ShelvAR reads the codes on the spine of the book through a tablet or smartphone then displays a green check for the properly placed books or a red X for the out of place ones.

By this time next year the app should be hitting the Android market.
