Man Arrested With 3 Pounds Of Meth | Drugs Are Bad

KTVU San Francisco is reporting that at a DUI check point in Modesto yielded not only several drunk driving arrests Sunday, but the confiscation of $45,000-worth of methamphetamine as well.

At about 10:50 p.m. Sunday, Modesto Police manning a DUI checkpoint in northwest Modesto witnessed an approaching driver throw a purse out of the window of his car.

Officers recovered the purse soon afterward and discovered three plastic containers holding an estimated three pounds of crystal methamphetamine together.

Police arrested the driver, 27-year-old Melchor Villagomez Vigil, without incident at the checkpoint for the transportation and possession of illegal drugs for sale.
