Hugh Jackman Says ' The Wolverine' Starts Shooting In October

With all the hub-bub over director for the sequel, Hugh Jackman spoke with IndieWire about the future of the franchise, “We shoot in October, so it will probably come out a year after that. That’s usually around the timeline.”

With the abrupt departure of director Darren Aronofsky and devastating earthquake in Japan, shooting for The Wolverine has been at a stand still. But now with James Mangold (3:10 To Yuma) taking the helm, it looks like filming will be in full swing.

The story is set to revolve around Chris Claremont and Frank Miller's 1982 limited series in which Logan travels to Japan where he interacts with Mariko Yashida, Yukio, the Hand, Lord Shingen and eventually Silver Samurai and Viper.
