WTF Moment Of The Day | WonderCon Moves To Anaheim

Outside the fact that Southern California gets terrific weather nearly year 'round, they also get the Bay Area's very own WonderCon. At least it's just for 2012.

Reason: much needed renovations. With over 50,000 attendees at 2011's WonderCon, the Moscone was busting at the seams with fanboys and cosplayers this year. “It certainly was not our wish to move,” said ComicCon International’s director of marketing David Glanzer in a statement. “However, when faced with the prospect of canceling the show for a year or moving locations, after careful consideration we decided to keep WonderCon on the 2012 calendar at a venue that could accommodate our needs.”

The move forces ReedPop's C2E2 in Chicago to push back their expo as well as Wizard World to postpone their Anaheim show until further notice.

Are you'all willing to make the pilgrimage with me next year?
