I Have Seen The Future of Gaming and it is Beautiful Windows 8 Tablet Named Project Fiona | #GoGoGadgets

(Gizmodo) It's called Project Fiona by Razer. A proof-of-concept and a prototype in the most serious way. What you're looking at is version 0.2. (Razer's already finished work on five more iterations of Fiona—they're up to version 0.8 at their labs, and expecting to hit 1.0 by the end of the year.)

Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan says it'll come to market just under $1,000 for the Windows 8-powered tablet (meaning it'll have full PC powers, though Razer is adding some software of their own on the gaming side, like the interface for browsing games). Spec'd to run a 2GHz dual-core CPU, 2GB RAM, 256MB video card , the Fiona rock a glossy 10.1-inch, 1280x800 display that puts it at the same size as a Samsung Galaxy. What you don't get from the Galaxy though is two handle bars that have a similar lyout to your PS3 or XBox 360 controllers. Since this is still in full prototype mode, don't expect to get any solid numbers on battery life or connectivity capabilities.

But you can bet that this here will be in your boy's hands once it hits the market.
